Iconic Hotel Cala di Volpe (Sardinia) reopens! -

Hotel Cala di Volpe reopens today, April 16 2026, officially launching the 2026 season for one of the most iconic luxury destinations in the Mediterranean.

Located in Costa Smeralda near Porto Cervo, the hotel welcomes guests with breathtaking views, mild spring weather, and easy air connections—ideal for the April 25 holiday and early May long weekend. Its early reopening reflects an increasingly extended tourist season on the island.

Managed by Marriott International for Smeralda Holding (controlled by Qatar Investment Authority), the property remains a benchmark for high-end hospitality since its creation in the 1960s.

Originally designed by architect Jacques Couëlle and recently renovated by Bruno Moinard and Claire Bétaille, the hotel blends tradition with contemporary design across its 121 rooms and suites. Highlights include the luxurious Harrods Suite with a private infinity pool.
