He did not know that his love story would not end by his decision this time. He was shocked and took the pen in his hand …

He didn’t know he was at the end of his love story.

He didn’t realise it until last week when they ran together happily and inseparably through the streets of New York. It was then that their story of love truly unfolded.

Yes, things happen like this: suddenly, love stories can shift.

He had often decided the timing of relationships, but this time it was her.

He suffered, but perhaps it was more the surprise than the real suffering that left him without more strength, marking a turning point in this love story.

He took the pen, yes just a biro pen, and on a sheet of paper, he began to write …

“We used to be so close. Now we’re like distant dreamers
I always said to you that Nothing would come between us
I was wrong
I won’t get over this. We had so much fun together, we laughed together till last Wednesday in New York.
Your smell, your touch, your kiss Now all of that is gone
Now we’re like silent animals trying to kill each other
Together in these years, we keep the hand of each other to support ourselves. We always share the effort to fight for a better life together.

I won’t get over this. We had so much fun… Your laugh, your eyes, your lips
Now all of that is gone doesn’t make anything any sense
I was beside you all the time, and you was my muse and my consolation at the same time

We used to be so close. Now we’re like the leavers in autumn, and if I remember all we had, all we said between us. I feel pain because I never thought we’d lose it, especially in this way.

This story between us has opened my mind again to write. It’s a pain, it’s a mysterious story that keeps me alive, and at the same time, I would like to die.”

Ends like this, in an almost dramatic way. This love story ended with hopes to impress her; she would change her mind and come back to him.

He reread everything more than once, and it all seemed very convincing to him.
He put the letter in an envelope, wrote the address and put the stamp.

He sent a letter and not a faster e-mail because he wanted her to have a few more days to miss the love story and how it unfolded.

He was convinced that the letter would have its effect, rekindling their love story.

He felt so confident in the words he had written that he slept for the first time peacefully that night.

There were so many days of crying, eyes open, sleepless nights, and almost no food in his stomach.

But today, he felt confident that he also tidied up in the kitchen before sleeping because he thought she would return soon, continuing their love story.
