Capturing London: A 20-Year Photographic Journey Through the Heart of the City

I became deeply connected to the city of London long before I ever set foot there.

My love affair with the city began even before my first visit as a tourist in 1983. With each return, the bond grew stronger. When I eventually moved to London, the relationship turned almost obsessive—I spent nearly twenty years photographing the city, day after day, capturing its endless stories and fleeting moments.

Today, I find myself with an immense archive of images, each one a fragment of time frozen through my lens. I cherish the process of publishing these photographs, revisiting them from afar yet always with a deep sense of nostalgia. There’s something uniquely comforting about flipping through those snapshots while enjoying a warm meal in one of London’s countless diverse restaurants.

The photos I’m sharing today date back to 2012—a year when the city pulsed with the energy of the Olympic Games. That summer, London was alive in a way I’ll never forget.
