Social Media is the kingdom of idiocracy.

I noticed most on social media that those who have gone from complaining about the “health dictatorship” now defend an authentic and accurate dictatorship. They do so without realizing the ridiculous figure they make of themselves.

It’s ridiculous to profess love, tolerance, and love for each other in slogans. We often like to exhibit this through statements, tears, and applause among friends on social media.

It is downright hypocritical when one refuses to make the slightest effort to protect the community and the weakest.

Getting vaccinated is an act of altruism and love. In contrast, not doing it is selfishness and contempt for the society around you. It is also a rejection of data and common sense.

To renounce condemning people of the far-right for years, or just to justify them trivially, is hypocritical. It’s like all popular nationalists in politics. Now, to be surprised by the war does not square with the declarations of love and tolerance that we exhibit too quickly.

Defending Putin is defending his war strategy, with colourful justifications or “ifs” and “buts”. Doing so does not appear more intelligent, but only shows dangerous cynicism.

Social media is the kingdom of idiocracy

Unfortunately, the beautiful words you use, resorting to “we should love“, etc., often hide a false and dangerous message.

To get vaccinated or not, and to distance from Putin or not, is a choice. However, these affect only those who make them. It’s like deciding whether to put pineapple on pizza or not.

Yet, it is not; these choices have consequences for everyone. Those who wickedly decide not to get vaccinated must take responsibility for it. Similarly, those who give even the slightest justification to Russia must also take responsibility.
