Monday “Photo Challenge” is always in “Black and White” and Today is the Expression of our days

By Massimo Usai

You can write or not write the year in this “black and white” photo of our Monday.

Everyone knows, and everyone will remember, that these are the scenes in our cities in 2021.

Our faces, with a mask on top of our usual covers.

We cover a part of our face to protect ourselves and to hide even more.

Taking this picture, I felt like I was making a gesture that would go through history, an image that one day, in 30 years, 50 years, a century, this photo can become essential and fundamental to remember what happened to our generation.

After more than 25 years spent between London, Warsaw, and Brussels—three cities that taught me everything except how to resist a good coffee—I’ve had the pleasure of collaborating with international outlets such as The New York Times, Time Out London, and Vancouver News.
Today, I’m the Director of Urban Mood Magazine and the Editor behind Longevitimes.com, where I explore stories at the intersection of culture, photography, and longevity.
I love blending images and words to turn every piece into a small journey—authentic, original, and occasionally a little mischievous.
In recent years, I’ve been diving deep into the world of Sardinia’s Blue Zone, developing expertise in longevity, traditions, and the science behind living better (and longer).
And yes—I’m also an Arsenal supporter. Nobody’s perfect. / To contact me massimousai@mac.com

You’re right, this is an indication of our times. The photograph is both stark and engaging.

Yes it’s. When I saw them in that position I put my camera and start to shoot
